For years I have made small metal ornaments to sell at shows as keyrings or necklaces, and they always go down well, but until now I've not had any examples on my website. Recently I've been adding some more small shiny objects to my range of necklaces at shows (mostly LARP events), so I thought it about time that I turned my hand to some finer work and made some proper jewelry too!

Below are examples of some of my work, most of which are unique and not 'stock items'. If you see a price next to an image, then it is a piece that I regularly make and can have one ready to send out to you pretty much straight away (like most of my tools). If there is no price then it is likely a one-off that was made for the experience or from some offcut of pattern welded steel or mokume. In which case I can make you something similar if you are in no particular hurry ;-)

My jewelry is mostly inspired by Celtic (read Iron Age, not 'Celtic styled'), Roman and Saxon pieces, but I also like to play with modern materials such as my Firefly range, which incorporate glow in the dark tritium phials. Mostly I work with bronze, copper and silver, though I often use small pieces of my own pattern welded steel and mokume garne or wood from the trees around my workshop.

Necklaces and Pendents
Most of these are simple and solid in their construction, so lend themselves well to use as keyrings, light pulls, rearview mirror danglies and the like as well as worn around the neck. Others are finer and definately fall into the Necklace/Jewelry catagory!

this is a replica of a 1st century AD bracelt from Somerset. Made of copper and measured about 70mm acrossClose up of the incised decoration of the Somerset braceletTwisted wire bracelets. I've made these in a range of sizes and from bronze, copper, brass and silver wires, with as few as one and as many as 9 wires

Based on a ring from the 1st century AD, this ring is made from copper. It is slightly adjustable in size, measuring approx 18mm internal diamter.A small, but adjustable ring made from twisted copper and brass wires. as closed in the photograph it has an internal diameter of 16mm.

Brass, copper and pure silver wire capsual with 8 spirals at the base and a red tritium bead inside. approx 30mm x 9mm.Fine silver spirals with green tritium phials inside. The beads are handmade glass and the ear hooks are silver. The lower section measures about 1/2" long. Brass and copper wire capsual with 4 spirals at the base and 2 more towards the top. This one is photographed empty, you get to choose what colour bead it gets! approx 30mm x 9mm.The rings are aluminium, so this is a very lightweight bracelet. Measures 8" when opened out, the rings are 10mm diameterAluminium rings make for a very lightweight set. Each ring is 10mm diameter, there are 145 rings int he neckalace alone! Necklacemeasures approx 20" when open. The earings dangle about 45mm below the hookcold forged from solid copper, this is a great rhumatism/artheritis bracelet. a selection of spiral fireflies. These are the first few I made and also something of a prototype. These all incorporate a glowing tritium bead, this is a glass tube filled with a luminous pignment and radioactive tritium gas. Don't worry, they are perfectly safe!  The beads are available in green, red, orange, white, blue and purple.
