Jim's Dagger

Blade Length: 7"
Overall Length: 11 1/2"
Blade: O1 High Carbon Tool Steel
Handle: Thuya burl and Brazillian kingwood
Furniture: Crushed Turquoise pins and 56 layer damascus guards
Sheath: Black Leather.

Additional Info: Second commissioned piece for my friend Jim. This is my first attempt at making a dagger and i'm pretty happy with it. The handle is constructed in a mortice fashion, using kingwood as a spacer between the two sides of thuya. The pins are made from brass tubes filled with crushed turquise stone and clear resin. The guard and butt plate are of my own 56 layer random pattern (some incising at edges) damascus.
